It never dawn on me that 90% of the comments I've written down here is either just plain laziness or tiredness until someone mention that to me. ._. Alright then, here I want to bring to everyone's attention the difference between "manga" and "anime". I find that too many people out there can't even differentiate the terms between "anime" and "manga". "Anime" is a coiled Japanese term from the English word "animation". "Manga" is a Japanese term for "comics". I do find it a bit irritating that the terms "anime" and "manga" are mixed up badly. I've been to lots of webcomics and many of the artists write about their comics as "anime"(?). I feel like laughing when I find them commenting about their works by using the term "anime" when all I see are only Japanese influenced styled comics (static images). And there's another site that promotes Japanese animation and in one of their comments, I find the word "manga viewers" in the animation review(?). Really, I do wish everyone try to keep in mind the difference between the term "anime" and "manga" correctly. Remember, manga=comics and anime=animation. That's all for my rant. Till then, stay tune for the next comic (manga). This comment is last updated on 02/12/2002 at 11:00pm (+08:00 GMT) - by Eunice P. |
